    The old landline phones were so simple: just pick up the receiver, dial a number, and call. But today\u2019s phones seem filled with complications. Sometimes, you just want to make a call, but you can\u2019t find where the contact list is buried under all those symbols on the screen. And then there\u2019s the issue of passwords\u2014how can anyone remember all these annoying details?<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

    Understanding this, the First Senior Center cooperated with NCOA and AT&T to offer classes on how to use smartphones with both iOS and Android systems.<\/div>\n

    • How to use the buttons on your phone and keyboard shortcuts<\/li>\n
    • How to protect important information and photos on your device<\/li>\n
    • How to send messages quickly without using the tiny virtual keyboard<\/li>\n
    • How to make video calls with just a few simple steps<\/li>\n
    • How to install ride-sharing apps<\/li>\n
    • How to call multiple people at once to share information and check in with each other<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      These classes will be held 1-2 times a week, with each session lasting about 30 to 60 minutes. We encourage you to join these classes to maximize the functions of your smartphone and make your life easier.
